First week of work. Done!

Wow. That was a long week! I've been trying to find work for a long time. I've had a few 1-4 day jobs through some temp agencies, not nothing of any real note. This job is meant to be several weeks long. It's just processing rebates, but it's a bit above minimum wage, I can wear jeans, and every one is nice. Unfortunaelt, I have an ear infection. It was bothering me all week, but I refused to take time off to see a doctor. I went to the walk in this morning. Not the best way to start a weekend.

Another day on the job

Honestly, I didn't think that entering rebates would be stressful and so full of expectation. It's only my third day, and I was told I needed to pick up the pace.

A new job

I started a new job today. I've been hardcore job hunting for over six months now. I thought moving out of a rural/suburban area would increase my chances of employment. I was wrong. I'm signed up with 12 temp agencies, and apply to jobs on line. Each and every weekday I'll check the new postings for jobs that I have any chance of getting. About every three weeks I'd get an interview. The job I have no is basic, repetitve, data entry. It's still a job, and may last a few weeks. Just in time for businesses to put the freeze on hiring until after the holidays. Lame.
